DR. TIMOTHY B. McKINNEY
Doctor Timothy B. McKinney, MD. PhD. FACOG is Professor at Drexel University College of Medicine Department, of OB/GYN. A graduate of Rutgers Medical School, he completed his Fellowship in Urogynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital with Dr. Richard Eisenberg. 

He has been Chief of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at UMDNJ/SOM since 1995. He is the President of Athena Women’s Institute of Pelvic Health in Turnersville, New Jersey and had a non-accredited Fellowship Training Program since 1997.  He now has a fully Accredited Fellowship in Female Pelvic Health and Reconstructive Surgery through Drexel University College of Medicine.  He is extensively published in journals and books and an innovator in Urogynecology and Laparoscopic surgery (performed the 1st Laparoscopic hysterectomy in the Delaware Valley with Mark Woodland, MD in 1989). 

Through his research he invented the T-DOC  “air charged”™ Urodynamic Catheter technology and started his own worldwide marketing and distribution company, T-DOC, LLC.com®, now responsible for 80% of the diagnostic testing done in the United States for incontinence and prolapse. He was a Co-founder of IMET (Innovation in Medical Education and Training), dedicated to teaching anatomy and minimally invasive surgery.  He was member of the Board of Trustee for International Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (ISGE), T-DOC®, OB/GYN.Net and International Organization for Women and Development (IOWD). 

Dr. McKinney was instrumental in starting the medical mission in Niger and Rwanda Africa for women afflicted by fistulas, female mutilatization and other female reproductive/ GYN issues.  

IOWD was founded in 2001 and can be found on Nigerfistula.org web site.  He is an ADHOC Editor for AAGL Journal and OB/GYN.Net.  Dr. McKinney’s research interests lie in urodynamics, pelvic anatomy, reconstructive surgery, voiding dysfunction, fecal and urinary incontinence, pelvic and vaginal pain and autologous stem cell research.
